The Spine of Tiger With Farmer's Hand, 2017

Farmer Hand

For Uncle Tha ’s hand, which was used for Ubatsat’s performance as rice spoon for audience, it was inspired by Anon’s childhood experience about selling rice in his father grocery store at suburb area in Bangkok. The buyers appeared to be living from hand to mouth. They did not necessary to purchase a large amount of rice or only buy for a few hands instead of using rice measuring bowl because they had low income and lived in small space. Again, the artist showed exemplary Uncle Tha as an artwork representing manufacture and provider labor. This leads us to consider the relationship of labor system between Uncle Tha and artist for producing this artwork in artworld.
